FRIENDS REACH GREATER HEIGHTS FOR CHARITY

Friends Adam Liddle, Rob McGregor and Rusty Gunson, came together for a jump of a lifetime, all in aid of Caledonia Youth, the relationships and sexual health charity for young people in Scotland.

The intrepid trio decided to reach greater heights, putting 10,000 feet between themselves and the ground to take on a parachute jump and help raise funds for their favourite charity, Caledonia Youth.

Despite bad weather postponing their first attempt, the intrepid trio came together again at Skydive Strathallan, located at Strathallan Airfield in Perthshire. They took to the air in a Cessna for the tandem skydiving challenge, harnessed to a professional freefall parachute instructor.

With the wind in their ears, the jump included about 30 seconds of exhilarating freefall reaching up to 120mph, before a more tranquil descent once their parachutes opened onto the drop zone below. All three made in safely back to terra firma raising a whopping £1,010 for Caledonia Youth in the process.

With fundraising crucial to the continuity of our services for young people, we were delighted when Adam, Rob and Rusty approached us to make the jump on behalf of Caledonia Youth - and even more delighted that they made is safely back to ground,” said Hawys Kilday, Caledonia Youth Chief Executive.“We would like to thank each of them for their fundraising endeavours, which are a most welcome boost to our services.”
