Do you feel bombarded with mixed messages about sex that leave you confused? Do you feel pressured by friends or others around you into making choices that don’t feel right? Do you need support and advice about sexual health, relationship problems or emotional issues?
Through our wide range of services, we’re here to help you at Caledonia Youth.
In everything from magazines and music videos to television and the flicks, you’re often given the green light that being sexually active makes you more attractive and mature. On the other hand, you’re faced with flashing red lights - be sexually responsible, don’t take risks. Then there are legal constraints to consider, as well as cultural values, attitudes and expectations.
Where do you start?
At Caledonia Youth, we help our young clients steer a path through the labyrinth of contradictory and confusing messages. Our aim is to help every person we see reach a decision that is right for them - safely, healthily, happily and, yes, maturely. That decision could be anything from exploring what contraceptive is right for you, if you need a test for an STI, or do you want to put off having sex, to learning more about managing feelings, assertiveness and self esteem.
You can find out more about all these subjects and much more on this website at:

and Looking for advice on relationships?
Our services are offered to young people up to the age of 25, with a focus on teenagers. We provide free and confidential support and advice through our Caledonia Youth clinics, education and counselling services that are all geared to help you make more informed, responsible choices about your personal and sexual relationships.
We’ve not only listened to what our young clients have been telling us over the years. We’ve also acted upon their concerns, tailoring our services to suit your very specific needs today.
When we first began as a registered charity in the 1960s in Edinburgh, we saw just over 600 clients during our first year. More than four decades on, we have expanded across a number of areas in Scotland - Lothian, Forth Valley and Grampian – and consult directly with more than 20,000 young people each year.
